General Questions 

Question Icon Will you send a confirmation of my registration?

Answer Icon We do send confirmations as follows, but you do NOT need a confirmation to

     attend. Simply show up at the seminar location and, as long as we received your

     registration by 3 p.m. EST the day before the seminar, your name will be on the

     sign-in list.

 

     If we have your email address, your confirmation will be sent as soon as your

     payment is processed. If we do not have your email address, we send con-

     firmations by mail, which can take up to 2 weeks depending on where you live.

 

Question Icon Do you have discounted rates for seminar attendance?

Answer Icon Yes, a number of discounts are available to you: 

     Early Registration - If you register at least 30 days in advance, you automatically

     receive our Early Registration discount, which is $10.00 off the one-day seminar

     price.

 

     “Buddy” System - When 3-5 people register at the same time for a one-day 

      seminar, they are given a $15.00 discount for each registrant and when

      6-9 people register, they are given a $20.00 discount. Greater discounts

      apply to multi-day programs.

     For 10 or more registrants, please call for special pricing.

 

     AAB Members - Members of the American Academy of Bereavement receive an

     additional $10.00 off the one-day seminar price.

 

     On-Line Discount – Anyone registering on our web site will receive a $5.00

     discount on any seminar. Web registrations must be paid using a major credit

     card.

 

     You may also attend the seminar for a discounted rate if you able to secure the

     On-Site Registrar position. Please go to our On-Site Registrar page to learn

     more.

 

Question Icon Do you accept Purchase Orders?

Answer Icon Yes, Purchase Orders are welcome. Please submit your P.O. by fax or mail along

     with a completed registration form for each attendee.

 

Question Icon Why do you want my home or cell phone number?

Answer Icon Since our speakers arrive the day before, we are usually able to hold our

     seminars even on bad weather days for anyone who can make it. Unfortunately,

     cancellations may occur at the last minute due to travel delays or instructor

     illness. We make every effort to contact all the pre-registered attendees who

     have given us sufficient contact information prior to the seminar. If we have no

     evening/early morning contact information for you, we cannot inform you.

 

 

 

 

Certificates of Attendance and Continuing Education Credit

Question Icon When will I receive my certificate of attendance?

Answer Icon Certificates are handed out at the end of the seminar when you turn in your

     evaluation. No certificates can be issued prior to the end of the seminar and

     continuing education credit cannot be granted to those not attending the entire

     seminar.

 

Question Icon How do I know how much continuing education credit is awarded for

     your seminars?

Answer Icon If you review the particular seminar of interest, you will see that the continuing

     education units awarded is listed on this site and in your brochure. Most one-day

     seminars award 6.0 continuing education units for most disciplines. If you do not

     find your Discipline listed on our Continuing Education page, please call us to

     inquire.

 

Question Icon Is my transaction secure?

Answer Icon This site offers secure transactions through PayPal/Verisign.

 

Question Icon How do I register for a seminar?

Answer Icon You can save $5.00 by registering right on this site. You must use a major credit

     card to pay for  web site registrations. 

     You can also register by phone (1-800-726-3888), by fax (716-332-0300), or by

Question Icon What if I lose my Certificate of Attendance?

Answer Icon There is a charge of $7.00 for replacement certificates on one-day programs;

     $14.00 for multi-day programs. This helps cover the cost of verifying attendance

     and course completion, as well as re-creating and mailing the certificate in

     question.

 

Question Icon What if I have to leave early?

Answer Icon In order to award continuing education credit, most Boards require that you

     attend the entire seminar. As a continuing education provider, it is our

     responsibility to abide by your Board’s requirements. If you are not concerned

     about continuing education credit, you are welcome to leave, discreetly, at any

     time.

 

Question Icon Will I be awarded continuing education for Audio CD packages?

Answer Icon We offer continuing education credit for a number of disciplines when you

     purchase, listen to and pass the post test accompanying your Audio CD package.

Question Icon Will I have to pay for parking?

Answer Icon Parking fees, when applicable, are not included in your seminar tuition.  We

     make every effort to avoid booking hotels that charge for parking. Sometimes,

     however, booking a hotel that charges for parking is unavoidable. We suggest

     you contact the hotel in advance to inquire about their free parking availability.

 

Question Icon Is lunch included?

Answer Icon In order to keep your seminar fee more affordable, lunch is NOT included for our

     one-day seminars. We do, however, provide coffee/tea and Danish, croissants or

     muffins in the morning.

 

Question Icon What is you Federal ID number?

Question Icon How should I dress for the seminar/conference?

Answer Icon As hotel heating and cooling systems are sometimes unreliable, be sure to dress

     in “layers” so that you can vary your clothing depending on the room

     temperature.

 

Question Icon What if I register and then find out I cannot attend? What is your

     cancellation policy?

Answer Icon We accept substitutes at any time – if possible, inform us in writing or, simply

     have your substitute fill out a pink Substitute Attendee form when they arrive at

     the seminar.

     We know that some cancellations are unavoidable. If you cancel more than 10

     working days before the start of the seminar, you will receive a refund less a

     small processing fee. 

     Cancellations made less than 10, but 5 or more working days before a seminar,

     will receive a letter of credit for a future CMI seminar, less the processing fee.

 

Question Icon How can I get directions to the hotel?

Answer Icon It is best to call the hotel directly, as they are more familiar with the major

     thoroughfares in their area. You can find their phone number on this site under

     the seminar location information and printed in our brochure.
